Buchanan Lodge

Location: New Westminster, B.C.

The main structural challenge of this project was to provide an economical framing system that met the requirements of long span, open spaced multi-purpose rooms while maintaining comfortable floor deflection and vibration limits. Buchanan Lodge is a woodframed building partly supported on grade and partly supported on a concrete foundation that houses underground parking and electrical, mechanical, laundry and staff facilities.
